Three Christmas Events – a great end to 2012
Christmas time is a time of celebration, and the Rod Squad is no different. This year, a raft of Christmas based activities was planned, which ensured something for everyone was on the agenda.

Rod Squad was privileged to take a special Fathers Day evening programme at a church at Carrara, with the cars on display.
A small contingent of Rod Squad supported a men’s event at CYC Burleigh Heads where Andrew Fisher (from Jesus racing – V8 ute) was a guest speaker.
Our Goin’ Country run this year was another lovely day. We met at Ipswich for registration and goodies pickup and a stroll around the park, then off for a pleasant cruise to Harrisville.
Rod Squad supports Fishers of Men Discipleship House Programme.
On 26th January, we gathered at the Truck Lay by at Amberley at 10:30am. From there we enjoyed a comfortable cruise to Laidley, and checked out the recently opened 60’s cafe where we had lunch.
Our Christmas Lights cruise was a great time for food and fellowship. We braved the early afternoon storm, and gathered at the Ipswich gangs homes for a meal of pizza while waiting for the sun to go down and lights to come on.
Members of the Rod Squad club ran the Fathers’ Day Service at Logan West Community Church on Sunday 4th September.
Our day started at Queens Park, Ipswich with lovely sunny weather. Registration got under way with entrants collecting their commemorative mug, and grabbing a complimentary coffee from our deluxe Coffee Van.
It is a key aim of our club to partner with other Christian organisations and support their mission and outreach projects. One of the ways we do this is by giving funds raised through club activities.
