23rd ASRF Street Rod Nationals
It certainly was a great Nationals and congratulations to the committee for organising such a good event.
Friday was a closed day for entrants only. Saturday and Sunday were open to the public, and they came by the thousands. I’m sure they were not disappointed with so much to see and enjoy.
A few Rod Squad members also made the trip down to Bendigo for the Street Rod Nationals.
Darryl & Graham went in Darryl’s ’36 Sedan (Darryl took this car to the Nationals at Narranderra in ’75 & ’77)
Teddy & Di went in the Buick and took the opportunity for a little holiday while down there.
This limo always gets a lot of attention!
Doug Hamilton from Christian Rods & Customs Victoria brought his Model A touring
Rod Brown drove down from Buderim in his A tudor.
Lots of eye candy to enjoy.
Every state was represented including Tasmania – Graham Martin’s radical ’49
Rod Squad joined with Christian Rods & Customs Victoria to organise a Chapel Service on Easter Sunday.
It was great to have over 50 people at the service to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies”.
Thankyou to the Nationals committee for including our service in the programme and providing an excellent venue. Thanks also to Peter Miles and friends.
We were then able to have a coffee together after the service and meet some new friends.
