Great day at ‘Goin Country’

We were blessed with great weather for our “10th Anniversary Goin’ Country” run. After gathering at Tivoli drive-in for food and registration, we cruised to Amberley for a spectacular display of the fire fighting capabilities of two of the Panther MK II fire tenders, with four of our entrants riding along and operating the water blasters. They were amazing to inspect and watch. We would like to thank the staff at the Fire Section at Amberley for their help to make it a memorable occasion. Then it was off to Harrisville for billy tea and damper, and a relaxing afternoon in the country. Some didn’t relax so much – activities such as axe throwing and cross-cut saw competitions – but it was most enjoyable to just kick back, watching our dinner cook and smelling the lovely aromas. The food was delicious with plenty for seconds. During the evening, we were entertained by a skit with a shock factor for some willing contestants, and there were plenty of giveaways during the night for lucky entrants. Thanks to all for coming, and for all those who worked so hard to make it happen.
